Looe Key
Dive here with
The best-known reef of the Lower Keys: a classic spur-and-groove formation about 6 miles south of Ramrod Key. Shallow coral fingers and sandy channels make it equally good for snorkelling and diving.
Reef tops 5-10 ft and grooves to ~30-35 ft make it suitable for snorkelers and all divers; NOAA moorings on the seaward slope reach 45-61 ft for those wanting deeper water.
